- we made a topic about it.
- there were WAY too many groups, and it was honestly getting too much to handle.
- we have gotten at least 30 dms as a request to make a group for someone. it was getting out of hand. we had every right to make the decision we made.

@Quatre but deleting groups couldnt have been the only option 🤷🏻♂️ you all couldve merged a new groups with similar ideas .. like "Gaming and Computer Tech" n all , that wouldve reduced groups too.. and couldve made multiple group owners

@Quatre well yes , but you're saying the reason you created the rule where existing groups would b deleted was cuz existing groups were too many , all I'm saying is , you couldve merged a couple /3 similar content groups into one big group , thatd reduce no. Of groups as well as bring new group opportunities in. 2 birds with 1 stone. Easy-Peesy , there wasnt much need to delete groups was there.

but why do we even need that many groups? why all the hassle? can't we just have 15-20 active groups instead of 100-200 tiny ones? -
@Muffin99 ok lets, for example, take "kool kat's klub," and "jess club." they didnt really have a purpose, so we deleted them. Sure, we could've merged them, but we decided to delete them, and start afresh, instead of complicating things.

That’s why users were given a chance to defend the groups they wanted to keep tho 🤔
