I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. Dogs require lots more attention, but they do protect me from the bears and mountain lions where I live. They tend to want to hang out and just get love all day too. My cats are good hunters as well, we have no rat problems anymore. Cats tend to just do their own thing which I appreciate. I can't say one is better than the other, they both have their advantages. They are just different.
my mother one time told me this ....the reason people overseas do not get mad or angry over having nothing, is because it is all they know. they know only what they have lived with. nothing. yes, Americans could never live that way
@jessica-mormont it's a very common problem for dogs with high intelligence. Such dogs were born for work, but often their owners dont give them necessary physical and intelligance exercises. Your dog try to tell you: Mummy! I need for som job! How long and often do you walk with your dog? What are you doing on your walks?
@bela-hella The kitty cats were, many moons ago. Bambi (the tabby) and Jessy ( the kitten)
As for the doggo's, the puppies were an ex of mine and the beautiful specimen of a lil jacksie ( Peggy ) was my friends. I used to walk her 3 times a day because he had serious health conditions. She was devoted to her owner, but we got the impression that she had fallen for me ;) wit woo :heart_eyes:

You know us humans cannot refuse to breathe until we die. Once you pass out your brains normal motor skills take over and you start breathing again. I guess that is different for mammals that have to surface in order to breathe.
Although it does make me wonder what part of the process is different. Is it just not being able to get to the surface in time? The lungs full of water from the motor reflex? Or is breathing a concious decision dolphins have to make?
