How do you propose in a "Filipino way"?
-
I once took part on a romance tour and met the woman of my life. She’s someone who is overflowing with positive vibes contrary to mine. She has turned my world around. When we started dating and when she actually became a part of my life, she has brought vibrance in it. I know she is the one for me, I can feel it. She is a Filipina and for us to be together, she had to find a job here in Vegas. She never asked me for anything except to wait for her to arrive here and she did. Since she moved to Vegas, she struggled to cope up with the way I live. She makes time for me amidst being tired from work. She constantly adjusts her ways to fit mine. Now, I want to propose to her. I want her to remember it. Since she has been living the life of an American for three years already, I’m sure she already misses home so I’m planning on proposing to her the Filipino way but I do not know this “Filipino way” of proposing for a wedding. Can you help a man out?

@imnervous30 I have never been in a romantic relationship so I have no clue as to what man does to a woman when proposing. But I'm an avid reader of different pages on facebook that all revolve around love (and I'm a filipino as well). For me, just do it in a simple way. And because you want in a filipino way then, compose a poem using our language --- tagalog. Also, bring her to somewhere peaceful yet beautiful. Filipinas value nature so much.

@help_wtfjudith I dont think I know this thing. 😢😢😢
-
@imnervous30 as long as you're capable of deep tagalog words... then do it.

From the little English in there I’m guessing Azriel’s advice wasn’t good in the end..? 😂

Hello guys, please give some idea about proposing in a Filipino way. How can I do it advice me please..
-
a simple proposal would work, I'm a filipino myself
-
@imnervous30 I honestly don't know actually dude. But isn't it general? I mean people propose on their own way, base on their own personality. How about like this, just be yourself in planning your proposal and then prepare filipino foods after.
-
@imnervous30 If you mean by "Filipino Way", like any asians, you need to pay your respects to her family and even spend time with family, when you say family in the Philippines, that is like a whole community since Filipinos are family oriented. Nothing fancy when you deal with a Filipina since they are culturally reserved and independent. As long as you deal with the family in a nice way and respect her beliefs and be understanding - and above all, you get along. Just pop the question!
if you want it extra special, better say it secretly to her siblings, cousins and they might be your help to give a memorable proposal.
-
@imnervous30 I am not really familiar about a Filipino way of proposing but regardless of culture, you better make it as romantic as possible. It depends also if you can afford a lavish proposal and take her to a vacation place she's dreamed of.

@imnervous30 just give her a sweet and very romantic proposal. and of course with the consent of parents. be real and practical coz married life is not easy.
