@linear the just eat woman
What is your imagination about god?
-
@meagain ??
-
@mr-pool With your point of view we start by saying that God, or god exists.
Thats the wrong way of thinking if i might say so.If we start by saying that there was never a god, all wars and sickness and disasters could be explained more easily. Just to name something...
-
@MeAgain I definitely don't act as they do. The only thing that I do that I have now become aware might be considered disrespectful is not capitalizing "God."
Trust me, I don't disrespect anyone unless they deserve it. I eventually have to leave the room when my "born-again" sister starts spouting off and telling me she feels sorry for me and my other sister because we don't believe in Jesus.
And I do the same thing with any one of any religion. A quote from the movie "Paul":
"You just can't reason with these people." (I think that's how it went) -
@canadadry Hear Hear...
-
@meagain i do believe in god. Although i understand the reasons people may have for not believing. And wars, sickness are just a prt of life, same as peace, happiness and contentment. I dnt think if there is a god, he has something to do with any of it, good or bad. I believe him to be impartial.
-
@mr-pool oke...So the function of god got "scaled down". Made more vague so people can start over with thinking that god is the one and only true god?
Thats what pops in mind...
-
There is absolutely ZERO proof of the existence of your God. None. And if your God actually did exist, I would want nothing to do with him/her/it (?)
The death and destruction at his own hand and the millions that he had the Jews kill.....
And speaking of Jews, are they not the "chosen people". How does that sit with Christians.
And something else of note: after 553 of Christianity believing, BELIEVING, in reincarnation, some guy decided that wasn't a good idea. Wishy washy at best
-
@meagain i don't consider it vague. If there is a god, i would prefer him to be impartial rather than all good.
-
@mr-pool Ya, but he's NOT impartial! Read the old testament and my comment about the people of Judaism.
-
@mr-pool Impartial is not vague? I don't agree. When a person is impartial they got often accused of not make a stand for themselves.
-
@canadadry i am not Christian. In fact i dnt believe in the concept of religion. I believe it was created by people in power to prevent people from uniting.
-
@mr-pool I couldn't agree with you more.
-
Exactly. Religion is a tool to control the masses.
-
@meagain i believe he is impartial because human beings have logical thinking. They can think for themselves. Do you not want him to be? Suppose hi isn't and controlled our action and only made us do good. Even if that endee wars, u would still not be left with the power of reason/choice.
-
@meagain @CanadaDry when i pray i don't imagine a form. I believe i am asking for help, from a friend. He has never disappointed me till now.
-
@mr-pool Just want to clarify, if I may. You say you're not Christian yet you believe in God. So what religion are you attached to?
-
@mr-pool And what happened now?
-
@canadadry none. I believe in doing good and helping my fellow human beings. If a person requires religion to do good/justify his actions, he Isn't a good person in my eyes. I dnt need religion to do the right thing.
-
@mr-pool That is the idea of a God isnt it?
Make human beings believe that there is a god above us all and has the wisdom we don't have. And therefore fear God.
But it can never work...there will always be people who do bad things. Even more worse, good God fearing citizens who raped and murdered , -
And now I got to go...later!
