@scott-xaiver No, it's not, people think of it as a force for convenience, when it's just bending of space-time, just as Einstein showed. Newton is the one that thought of gravity as a force.

But if you had been paying some more attention nowadays, you might have saw that scientists proved his theory by discovering gravitational waves from 2 colliding black holes. So yeah, bodies with mass bend spacetime, which we call gravity.
