i completely agree. hate when someone makes a life time promises and breaks them in a instant. they act like they feel pain for doing it even but in end your only person hurt as they go off with new person.

  • Memories are like a promise to never forget.
Promises are a moment locked in a memory.
You can't have one without the other.
We make promises with the memory that they will come true.
Life is cruel and sometimes our promises are broken just like how our memories are always fleeting.

A broken promise or a lost memory.
A lost memory of a broken promise.
Two sides of the same coin.

  • Memories are nothing but the fleeting glimpses of a speck of dust and promises are hollow words meant to elate us, specks of dust. There is no pain in the world except us.

  • I read somewhere before that brain edits memories, changing and updating the past with new information. I think that emotions you experience throughout time when you remember particular memories - change. You may feel sad at the beginning, but then think "It was a useful lesson" or "I was happy at that time". Or maybe there are happy memories that later make you feel sad or hurt. And after years you won't remember as much details about these memories, that's because you've made new ones.

Time tends to erase many things. You meet new people and make new memories with them.

Memories are like drawings - as time goes by you may edit them by ereasing some parts or make them fade away by drawing over the old memories with new/better ones. It's best to not sink in memories, but get something useful out of them.
