Your friend is probably hurt because you spoke to someone else about him being suicidal. I know you meant well, but he probably is ashamed of it and doesn't want others to know. You telling his other friend made him feel like you broke his confidence.
It will take time to gain his trust again, but I think you shouldn't give up on it. Try talking to him, explain to him why you spoke to the other friend who made fun of him. In the end, if time is what he needs, give it to him. Just make sure he understands you care for him and will be there for him when needed.

@Orin-Lusterdxo tell me, im serious here. i am in deconditioned shape, my own fault. but i have always wanted to one day run or jog a damn mile and not feel like i am about to die afterward. how long does it take to run a mile and be used to it lung and heart wise? how should i start out running slow?

@mikeJB the best thing to do is prepare yourself mentally. And im being serious you should try this out because it changed me for life. I recommend drinking lots and lots of water a day so maybe like 1.5 gallons or 2 (if you can) this works as a detox and conditions your body and mind for physical activities. whether you start running slow or really fast, it doesn't matter. I tend to jog on a treadmill for 15 minutes straight and do about 2.5 kilometres if you want to try that out? it doesn't take long if you eat clean and drink lots of water. just keep pushing
