The reason why i dont trust ENGLISH -_-
-
I dont trust english at all. --
Why is that "give her her book" is gramatically correct yet "give him him book" is incorrect?
Is english a female? -- -
@ragnar-lothbrok it's "give him his book"
-
Because we say
HER book
HIS book. NOT 'HIM book'
OUR book
THEIR book.
-
@ragnar-lothbrok We have less female pronouns than male pronouns. While referring to a male, we can use - his, him and he , But While referring to a female, we only use - she and her. Even english doesn't follow gender equality XD

See?? But wait, so you mean you have less female pronouns, but how comes we cant use "him" on such a sentence? I mean "give him him book" why cant we use that? XD
-
@ragnar-lothbrok because "him", when used the first time, doesn't suit the context.

But "her" when used the first time it suits the context???
-
@ragnar-lothbrok yeah it does, because we don't have any other pronoun. XD

@khaleezi91 sorry it's a typo. I edited my comment

on the topic of gender equality
i dont believe in gender equality..i believe in gender complementarianismfor eg:u cant expect a man to give birth naturally can u?,so there isnt an equality...everyone has a complementary responsible and different roles to play in life...so u should trust english lol

In the English language, in the third person singular, the male personal pronoun is him while the possessive adjective is his. But in the third person singular, the female personal pronoun and the female possessive adjective are both the same, i.e., her.
That's why, in the sentence "give her her book", although the word her is used twice they both have different grammatical roles. -
que? que pasa?
