• Are you similar to your parents? In what way? Do you have their good traits or bad traits? Do you want to be more or less like them? How would you feel if you had a child that was just like you?

  • @TheGoldenMole I am in awe of my Dad's work ethic (tho he's retired now). It's at the heart of everything I am. He never had a sick day in 50 years, apart from a few weeks for heart surgery (!?). Having a day off work, for me, just feels eerie, and just ...supernaturally wrong.

But what of your lineage, GM? Did your parents ask people loads of insightful questions in, say, the back pages of some 60's counter culture beatnik magazine ...whatever the forerunner of TWS was? That would be cool.

  • An apple once fell upon the head of a man called Isaac Newton. That apple has come as far as nearly 400 years. ;)

I've met people like this, what is it like to not miss work? Do you enjoy your job or do go because it is your duty? Don't you ever just feel like not going?

well they were both raised in super religious families so they don't question the universe because they were taught not to, but theyre both smart and creative and together they made a creative genius... me ;)
I think its really interesting when I learn stuff about myself or others and realize that a lot of the way we are has to do with where we come from, biologically and culturally

  • @TheGoldenMole I've never understood the accusation that religious fundamentalists don't question things. Surely just by holding a concept in your mind, you're questioning it? At least, that's the vibe I got when I was in the Dharma Initiative.

  • @Indrid-Cold I agree, but I've realized questioning or not, we will still know nothing
