Oh you wanna chat ???
Lets Chat Than ...
Do you think that humans as a species have gotten better through the generations or worse? Why?
-
hmmm.. lets see what this website thinks
-
Better ofcourse. This is statistically the most peaceful time humanity has ever been through
-
Technologically? Yes.
-
Better and worse is subjective. It is only a matter of perspective. Have we advanced as a species and evolved to be more efficient than other species? Sure. Does that make us better? Not necessarily.
-
@alwaysstranger Not really, considering the fact that NK just shot a missile over Japan yesterday, I would say the situation is worse than it was during the Cold War.
-
-
Yeah some what ...humans of today r advanced than those earlier...like earlier humans did hard work .. Now v do smart work...
But human values are kinda lost.. people earlier were more humane... People today.. not so humane!!.. so.. ur question has kinda mixed answers -
@sammy yea i'd agree with at
-
@alwaysstranger I've watched those already. And to a degree, I would disagree with how they project violence in the 21st century. Wars are evolving. Sure, there are less direct confrontations between nations but there is a constant threat of a nuclear war between North Korea and the rest of the world.
-
@billus-billus North Korea is a baby and it can't cause a calamity bigger than a couple of million
-
@anoj117 Humans have been around for 195,000 years.
Go back in time just 195 years and try to get clean water out of a pipe in your kitchen. Try to find expert medical attention for the chickenpox that you just contracted. Try to go down to the corner market and find fresh fruit year round that doesn't sour within days of being picked. Try to find some descent birth control. Try to be able to have sex without immediately starting a family.
Try to find some indoor plumbing!
Furthermore, go back 195 years in America and try to be gay. Or black. Or a woman.
And then come back and ask me whether we've gotten better as a species.
-
@cocoxxjumbo-v gotten worse through the generation*
-
@cocoxxjumbo-v if he says "better as a species" then he's agreeing with what you said
-
@sammy I think you'll find that almost any society before 1850 was brutishly inhumane by today's standards.
The UN has a number of "human rights violation" standards that they hold every nation to in the modern age. I doubt many, if any, countries from before 1850 would pass these standards.
Capital punishment, imprisonment without fair trial, cruel and unusual punishment, rule without consent of the governed, slavery, spousal rape, war crimes, etc were commonplace 200 years ago.

@cocoxxjumbo-v can you please edit and fix your comments mistake so i can delete my critique?
