@Ashley07
IDK if we have anything in common with each other but we can chat whenever you want. Just HMU.
And good luck to you also. -
RE: What is it you really don't like in a partner?
@petrapark3r
Familiarity breeds contempt. Or so the saying goes.
I would say that it's relatively true.
I don't sweat any of the little things possibly with the exception of not listening and pretending that you are.
Dishonesty is my number 1 on things that I don't like (and will not have) in a relationship.
I don't care how bad the news is I would much rather be told by my significant other rather than hear it through the grapevine. -
RE: Time flies so fast
@RoseoStarlo
The older one gets the faster time flies.
As a youngster in school and waiting for the bell to ring ten minutes seemed to take forever. Much longer was 45 minutes in detention.
Nowadays I'm afraid to blink my eyes lest a week will just dissappear. -
RE: Conversations...
@OliveOlivia said in Conversations...:
@wet-teri Why do you think alcohol makes it easier for people to communicate?
I wouldn't say communicate. But I will say that alcohol does seem to open people up and make them say things that they probably wouldn't if they weren't a little bit on the tipsy side. As for communicating with alcohol it's probably not very helpful for getting the point across. -
RE: Conversations...
@OliveOlivia
It's not that hard to have an actual conversation. The hard part is finding someone who actually wants to hear what you have to say and really does listen to the context of what you are trying to convey.
Then of course for it to be an actual conversation you in turn need to do the same thing in return for them. I've had conversations that were so profound that some lasted a few days before any resolvement came about. Usually those were extremely saturated with copious amounts of alcohol. But some subjects bring about strong feelings and opinions and those generate the best conversations I think. -

RE: What are your bad habits?
@OliveOlivia
Well that and my health. I got hurt a couple of months ago and I am still healing. There for a while I was pretty worried that I was hurt worse than I originally thought. But I'm almost back to normal now. Whatever normal is for me these days. -
RE: What are your bad habits?
@OliveOlivia I always come back and function quite well. I'm not angry about that either. Some care while others are just hating and not even thinking about why I do what I do. They just assume they know better than me. I would have a lot more money if I were to quit. But I have had a lot of money and that's not what's important to me in my life. Peace of mind and spirit is far more important to me than money.
Thanks for letting me vent. Feel free to contact me anytime. -
RE: What are your bad habits?
@OliveOlivia
My bad habits are numerous and some I should quit and others I will when I get ready to do so.
Most people assume that I want to stop certain things but I don't. Just because it's a bad thing doesn't necessarily mean it isn't usefull to a certain extent. There are some things that I do to escape the reality of my existence. They would definitely be considered bad and habit forming. But they serve their purpose and I don't need anyone that hasn't walked a mile in my shoes to tell me how I should live my life.
In fact most of the people who I know have had a breakdown or so over things much smaller than the things I have been through.
I don't go around telling them what they need to do about it.
If you really want to know what bad habits I have me -

RE: Is intelligence important to you for making a friend?
@Chicken-meat I guess intelligence is important to an extent. I.E. I have really good friends that I play music with and who are loyal and quite fun and entertaining to be around. I don't think and I might be wrong on this that they would have the correct answer of a complex problem that would require a relatively high level of intelligence to correctly answer.
I also have a few extremely intelligent friends that are so profoundly intelligent they give me headaches trying to understand the meaning of what they have said.
It's too bad that intelligence doesn't come with the wisdom to use it wisely. Common sense just isn't very common any more.
