Just started watching Monster, it's a little boring right now, just want to know if it gets better?

    I'm on the episode where Nina's/Ana's parents are killed and she and Dr. Tenma are taken by two "cops," but manage to escape. I've heard really great things about this show but it feels a little lackluster to me. If anyone has seen the show, please tell me if it gets a lot better?
