I'm currently on an antichrist superstar and mechanical animals kick again. They were by far the two biggest Marilyn Manson albums. Antichrist is a solid rock album littered with various obscure references and of course overloaded with shock value (not so shocking now but it is like 23 years old)
Mechanical animals is a much more melodic album, certainly still shock rock but less hard hitting, the music and writing is very obviously inspired by David Bowie.This is beautiful people, arguably Manson's biggest hit (though his cover of sweet dreams us what put any real spotlight on him.

One thing I like a lot about Manson is his albums all sound quite different and he uses different influences and styles for each, sure some are total misses but it's kinda cool cause you never really know what you will get
