OMG I can't even remember the last time I had "internet" sex, I've had little interest in it at all for the latter half of this year, but I when I used to I regularly found this a huge problem too. The number of times women/girls would get shirty or aggressive with me and cut me off because I'd actually want a conversation (even when I was horny) and connection first so wouldn't just get straight down to business whilst they were throwing themselves out there was unbelievable.

The flip side was that I would also often just be having a normal "nice" conversation with somebody where neither of us had been looking for anything to happen... the sapiosexual part of me would start to become engaged and stimulated, whilst they would somehow get attracted to the fact that a seemingly decent and and emotionally available guy cared enough to take an interest in them for genuine reasons and not simply because he was out looking for a quick fix... and things would happen anyway. But that was usually after like an hour or more of getting to know each other first, working out if we truly liked one another. Far more rewarding than "wham bam soulless disconnect".

You aren't. I think it is the accessibility and anonymity which sadly makes it too easy for many sites to get flooded with peeps who don't realise what they're missing out on, and they can also dampen the experience of users who have no interest in any kind of flirtation (either at that moment or ever). Don't get me wrong, I sometimes have hot-blooded wild moments too when I'm just "that way out" and crave a quicker shallower fix... if that happens then I'm not going to waste anybody else's time, that's what adult sites are for
