@danii U mean negative?
Human Cloning, Would You?
-
If it became possible, legal, and inexpensive would you have yourself cloned? Would you want a clone of someone else, maybe bring someone back from the dead?
-
i would absolutely clone myself, it would make life so much easier! i'd send my clone to fulfill all of my social responsibilities and duties, so that i could have all the free time in the world. or maybe we could work out some kind of an alternating schedule, if the clone gets too tired. i'd also get a second clone and use her as a decoy, so any would-be assassins targeting me would be thrown off
-
I wouldn't. I'm happy with who I am. I don't feel the need to. Also, having a clone would make me feel the need to compare myself to my clone. Although, on the other hand, I really want a twin. I don't have anyone there for me. I'm really lonely. I'm the only child, and although I have friends at school, I can't talk to a single one of them about my deep personal problems. They can't know about the demons I battle with, or the things I've done. Having a twin would be very helpful when it comes to having that best friend whom I could share secrets with.
-
I wouldn't clone myself, one messed up Lurker is enough, tho I think I'd want a clone of someone for sure :shrug:
-
@sarah_the_magpie Assassin? What if, secretly, one of the clones was working against you, and turned out to be the one targeting you, while the other was trying to protect you? Things could get very complicated!
-
@Lurker I'm with you on that. Neither I, nor the world could cope with another Lazz. The possibilities are nearly endless, though, of potential others I wouldn't mind a copy of. At least hypothetically
-
@Lazz Yes, but if my twin and I are friendly with each other, we'de have nothing to fight about.
-
@Lazz
that's easy peasy! if my decoy betrays me and decides to assassinate me, i'll just get a new clone to act as a decoy, so that i'd still be unharmed. if the new clone also betrays me, i'll get a new one. this cycle of cloning would repeat itself ad nauseatum until i finally get successfully assassinated.
also, by that point, there would be billions of my clones wandering around. it would be a truly bleak world to live in -
@sarah_the_magpie Clone army of you vs clone army of you. Half protecting, the other half targeting. A truly Philip K Dickian nightmare that would be. Might make for a really good read, in novel form. I'm in
-
@Lazz I wouldn't clone myself. Lord knows I can't handle another me. But someone else?
Yeah. -
@INFINITY And a belated Happy Birthday to you. Had I known sooner...
-
@Lazz Thank you. :)
-
@INFINITY You're welcome. Hope it was a good day, and will be a great year
-
@Lazz It was. And I hope so too. Well the year is almost over so eh.
-
@INFINITY The calendar year is near it's end, yes. But you're whole new birth-year has only just begun. Enjoy it!
-
@Lazz Makes sense. And I'll try.
-
@Lazz Try try until I succeed, then.
-
@INFINITY One turns back and submits to fate, changes one's attitude, and finds peace in perseverance. Oh, wait. :) There
-
@Angel13 A twin could be that for you, that special best friend. But let's not forget there's a reason for the term "sibling rivalry." As often as not sibs can be opposites, or at the least not very like-minded.
-
@DIVine X-mulitples. I like it.
