Most people don't know, except gamers, that the stories behind games are no longer simple, but, theatrical and vast. Games have come a long way, and the story telling of a game immerses the users far deeper than any movies. And other games like WOW, Diablo, GTA, Red Dead Redemption 2 ..etc, presents viewers with on going struggle of magical changes, online community and adventure that never end. So movies, as wonderful as they are, may have reached it's limits? You decide and tell us. Here are some numbers to look at:

$1,670,591,918 Movies total Box Office Gross 2021
    $180,100,000,000 Video Games 2021

So with this much difference, is Video Games the New King of Entertainment? Tell us your thoughts?

  • @AXES For me games let me live the movie in my own way. :)

  • Janet, I agree. And, some games lets you see all different endings.. sometimes, hahaha, IT IS GOOD TO BE EVIL!!!!!!! hahahaa.

  • hehe.. Janet, is this the REAL LIFE, or is this FANTASY.. caught in a LANDSLIDE, no esape from WOW .. hahahaa

  • @AXES said in Are Games Better Than Movies?:

hehe.. Janet, is this the REAL LIFE, or is this FANTASY.. caught in a LANDSLIDE, no esape from WOW .. hahahaa

now i cant get this song out of my head!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think movies cover a much wider audience than games. Also I wouldn't really compare them since both games and movies are supposed to serve different purposes. While games are purely for entertainment, movies usually have a story to tell.

Although some games like RDR and GTA have good storylines too, they actually make you sit and play it. When it comes to movies, you could just grab a bowl of popcorn, cuddle with your partner and have a cozy evening watching it.

So it really depends on your mood. I don't think there would be a clear winner between the two πŸ˜›

  • Aira, you right about different media and it's audience.. Movies do cover more indeed. So they have different audience, but I wonder, if they will merge into one eventually in the future someday.
