@Tina I just have to ask now, what exactly do you mean by "minority races"? Which ethnic "minority" are you talking about? And exactly where and when are you talking about? I would also like to point out, that throughout history, especially in the early history of many civilizations, men in fact have been the ones who have been constantly put under violence and constant threat of death. Historically speaking men have put (more or less, depends) their lives on the lines to protect women and children. I can't help but get the feeling that you're talking from the point of a view of a modern American feminist, do correct me if I'm wrong. But on the point of equality, we can totally agree :)

In the end, I think that we as humans, have not been designed to be monogamous, although there are definite benefits in monogamy. Being open about our needs and wants and being able to experience those on top of having the security and the special kind of a relationship with a specific person is, in my opinion, one of the best ways to maintain a healthy and happy relationship. Sexuality and how we view it, for the most part, is through the societal rules, which in most of our case, I assume, is related to the views of the early and many modern christians. And christianity, especially during the time of it's crusades and "cleansing" of the pagan ways from the people (religious genocide) was VERY dictatorial. Everything in your life was governed by the religious leaders and what they decided to be "morally acceptable" Sex positions and sexuality in general included.

And to just generally answer on the topic itself, I'm in a relationship for well over 5 years and hopefully, if all goes right, soon will be engaged :)

@solo Well, we all have our preferences and reasons for them. It's always just interesting to hear what people's reasons and explanations for their life's choices are, rather than just hear them declare their status or disposition.

@solo I do feel that marriage is a terrible choice for men, considering all the ways that men can and more often than not ARE just honestly effed over by the statistically inevitable doom of divorce and all the great things it brings with it. What I'm wondering though, is what are your reasons for flying the flag for "living solo"?

And by being "solo", I assume you also don't do long relationships?

On The Decline Of Masculinity…

Men are dropping out of colleges. They are graduating less and with lower scores from universities. Male suicides and depression are on the rise.

We have also become extremely solitary beings. More and more we seek friendship, relationships and just about any kind of social connection we can from the internet, and while this is not necessarily inherently a bad thing, many of us have opted out of real social interaction in exchange of virtual for the most part. I feel that we should be building groups and small communities of male groups, "tribes" and "clans" of kinds, to help each other out to become better men in all aspects of our lives. This, from my personal experience, is something that men really, truly need other men for.

Many women now view men as ”obsolete” and there are a ton of reasons for this.

One of the more controversial reasons for this is the part that the modern woman herself has played together with the always changing and adapting society and it’s unwritten rules of daily conduct.

The fact is, that men do not feel the need to try hard to become the ”man” that the woman needs. Now that more and more women are career driven, they become independent from men. They can pay for their own food, rent, medical bills, basically today women are more capable of financial independence (at least in the western world). We, men, are simply not necessary for women in this regard anymore.

Also, with the modern feminism has come the beating down of men in every way, shape and form. I do hold modern third wave feminism and social justice to be one of the main reasons for the decline of masculinity.

I would like to point out that I think the freedom of choice between careers and families for women is a vital point of the democratic western world culture and I’m all for it.
This freedom, however, when the current culture drives to push ALL women to the working force, causes many great problems and issues.

I originally had planned to write a longer, more detailed piece about my views and personal experiences and opinions on the matter, but I came to the conclusion that this site could really benefit from having a proper issue for a topic and hopefully I can strike up some discussion and I PRAY FOR ALL THE GODS at least a semi-civilized debate.

And just in case I get asked this, no I’m not a MGTOW, I find majority of MGTOW to be as batshit insane as the modern feminists.

I'm having a real hard time seeing this thing taking off as anything proper. I do hope that it will, but I wouldn't bet on it. Also, about "sharing valuable content", for content sharing and social networking there are a TON of really good sites, especially ones like Minds.com etc.. Do you really see TwS as a site where people will come and "share valuable content"? I think by now TwS has rooted itself as a place for perverts and trolls. Anyways, I do hope the TwS team will put effort in to cleaning up the site, best to their ability. :)

Heh. Looks like this part of TWS is just going to be the same as the stranger-to-stranger quick chat... 99% pathetic, horny indian and british "men" begging for a wank over a text chat or just plain and painfully obvious trolls. I'll give this experiment a month, two tops, and you won't be able to find anything else. If a wank is all people are looking for, why not stick with tinder..?
