"THE STARS ABOVE"

The stars above, tonight I watched.
Glitters on the other side of the notch.
Their very wondrous light that flickers,
They look just like small sparklin’ stickers.

What if the stars, they look at us too?
Truly, it’s a sad, sad thing to do.
With such entropy, they might wonder.
Since they can do nothin’ but sober.

I’ve been thingkin’ about everyone,
There are still things that can be done.
The stars above, they can do nothin’,
But we can change this world we live in.

I love music! Both by its rhythm and sound, but mostly with lyrics. Song lyrics are also considered as literary art. Do you, by any chance, have any interest in poetry?

“THE BASTARD AND THE GODDESS”

A royal goddess for a bastard,
She drops me off my cautious guard.
Such high hopes – so hard I tumble.
And if ever I survive the fall,
Winning her would be my reward.
Wish it would not be that hard.

The raging starlight in her eyes,
Could grant me my sudden demise.
Such beauty that costs magnificence,
And I just brought these damn cents.
Her stare that could melt solid ice,
Thus her gaze that thunderously cries.

Swimming against a strong river,
That’s like me talking to her.
She’d drown me and wash me away,
And I would need to find my own way.
A way which I can recover,
So the best words I can deliver.

This was a poem I wrote for someone that I adored way back.
How about you guys, did you ever feel like this over someone???
