We've been noticing speed and performance issues lately on the community here. Due to this we've decided to upgrade our server to a larger instance. You all should now see a major difference on the amount of time it takes to load topics now.

Some users showed a lot of interest in games and also asked when will we be bringing more games here. I'm happy to share that we have found a good partner so in the coming weeks you will see more games added here. Games can be accessed from the categories page or the menu bar at the top.

Unlike the past, now you guys can play games right on this website instead of leaving to an external link. Each game will be added as a sub category under Games category.

This way you guys can easily share game specific things like your top score, techniques and tips right under the game as a topic or post.

We know you all like to chat, so this way you can keep your DMs going even while you're killing time on a game.

As always welcome your feedback and suggestions to improve the experience further.

You can block a user or unblock previously blocked users.
In order to block or unblock someone just follow the steps given below.

• Open the user profile which you want to block or unblock.
• Click or tap on the "3 dots button" at the right corner of the selected profile picture.
• Simply select your preferred option from the drop-down menu.
• If you want to block a user click or tap on "Block User"
• If you are looking to unblock a user click or tap on "Unblock User"

@IM-NOT-H0RNY You need to think from mods perspective. How hard it makes their job to stop these idiots, just because someone got bored and thinks spamming vulgar pictures is the best use of their time.

We did the analysis, majority of users who contribute to the community have already verified their emails. If someone is just here for account less chat. We do have http://chatting.talkwithstranger.com

We all are sick of spammers and people who have nothing better to do with their life. Who get the kick out of making things miserable for others. @Global-Moderators have been asking for a security check where new accounts shouldn't be allowed to post on Public Chatroom before verifying their email address. Well now we have implemented it! All accounts need to verify their email before creating a topic or posting on Public Chatroom now.

We hope this will make chat more enjoyable for you all. Also, thank you all @Global-Moderators for the painstaking bans you had to do earlier to stop those idiots.

Hi all. I'll try to explain our stand on this.

First of all, the most important thing first. @pe7erpark3r and all the new/active members who were most affected by the data loss issue. I want to apologize on behalf of all our tech team who even though tried their best for a whole week to recover the posts from the corrupted database but unfortunately couldn't and had to revert to an earlier backup. We sincerely feel for you and assure you our backup retention has been set to daily for now.

Regarding Discord. Issue and the user @LittPudding. Actually this is not a new problem, we face this issue more than you'd think. There are people who'd try to get the users to migrate to some other platform for whatever objective. Some spam it obscenely, some do it with better tactics. We don't have anything against discord, however we do have a policy against spam and links that are intentional to hurting the community. Which we also noticed ourselves after users reported us about that. Hence a warning was given to this guy as well, but he carried on in the public chat.

You can get an idea with a quick view of user profile (topics) to see their intention of staying on TWS.

Our @Global-Moderators have been communicating to us around the lack of voice chat and bots here, being an attraction towards discord. We are working on groups (improvements) and voice chat for TWS community as I write this. And before I forget there indeed is a bot in https://chat.talkwithstranger.com/direct/tws recently added that can be improved to do whatever community comes up with. Please don't hesitate to reach out with ideas regarding bot to these two https://chat.talkwithstranger.com/direct/TalkWithStranger and https://chat.talkwithstranger.com/direct/dev

At the end I'll repeat, we are here to listen and improve based on YOUR suggestions, try doing this to big companies like, whatsapp, discord or instagram :)

@Karina-Kara Thanks for your ideas. We appreciate it. However, those captcha checks happen even before user logs in to the website or authenticated. This is so that in case its a script or bot, it will stop even before adding more stress to server.

@Karina-Kara I'm afraid they are necessary. The firewall however shows to ips based on algorithms and not to all users, e.g some vpns. This is necessary to deter spammers.

What are your suggestions for less annoying ways to prove?

@Bela-Hella Thank you for making the post. We're eager to learn what users care about so we also direct our efforts in that direction.

@spaceboy Our vision has always been to make an effort to create a simple platform for users from all over the world irrespective of age and background, to come and interact with each other. We understand its a big challenge for us to technically complete with big companies out there with funding and resources. However, being a small knit team gives us an advantage to listen to the users and provide the support to the community instead of direct them based on investors agenda.

Ultimately we want this to be something that is welcoming to all age groups with various interests, instead of focussing on one type of users.
