@petrapark3r said in Do you like death?:
I like death. Because being dead is much less demanding than living.
But death can also be a very scary thing, especially when you don't know where you're going. And it might be the case, that where you're going is actually even more painful than where you are now. Or it might be the case that everything ends, but I don't believe that. And as a with Pascal (Mathematician) I feel that in this case it might make sense to better be safe then sorry. But then again that might not be enough anyways.
For all those among you, who believe in heaven and hell: have you ever been close to death? Because if you have, you know wether you actually believe or just recite some dogma.
I personally haven't been close to death in this way. I've always feared death like crazy. But then one day, I remember it was in 2015, I realized I had lost my fear from death. Which is really crazy since I still fear lots of other things, that don't even get close to being lifethreatening. Yeah, fear often makes no sense...

Why would you say God does not exist? Do you have a good reason?
.....i just say it....
@petrapark3r said in Fact check with Pet': Can you prove God's existence? Part I:
In history – that is in a history when still anybody believed that there was a God or were gods – people already wanted to know. The idea of proving God seemed to be especially popular at the beginning of the last millenium. The first one to come up with such a "proof" was the monk Anselm of Canterbury. This is a short summary of his argument:
- Everybody can agree on the following definition: God is that above which you can think nothing greater
- Now think God like this, but think that he does not exist
- Woops, you can think of something higher can't you? Because a God who does exist, is definitely greater than one who doesn't
- Ergo: Our mind is not capable of thinking God without also thinking that he exists
Now for the million ₫ question (currency: vietnamese dong) : Why does this argument not prove that god exists?
frankly, I could not ensure the existence of God, on the other hand, I would say that this being does not really exist
@dragonfly33 said in would u RaThEr..:
suppose u get sick, then would rather go to male doctor or female doctor? and why?
Personally, I wouldn't care about the kind of doctor who is treating me, the only thing that would matter to me would be that he does his job well, because regardless of the sex of this one, both can do it.
@petrapark3r said in Imagine you knew your future:
Imagine you woke up one day and nothing would be the same? Imagine, one day you suddenly knew your life's purpose and you knew who you were going to spend your life with.
But you're still freakin' scared. Cause it's scary after all, life I mean. Knowing too is scary. Knowing that you know is scary. Knowing that there is a purpose is scary. Knowing reality is really a different place and all that mattered really doesnt anymore...
Looks fun, however the big problem that appears is that after a while it will cease to be fun because life would not have much meaning if you know what will happen in the future, also it would be strange because if you know what happens in the future may not really happen (that says some of the theories about time), plus the future that one sees projected may not be the same as the one that one has imagined, so to speak.

1 - Which weighs more: 1 pound of water or 1 pound of feathers?
being a pound, they weigh the same, it's a pound for a reason.
2 - Which is colder: -40°C or -40°F ?
laughs in chemistry.
if (1°C × 9/5) + 32 = 33.8°F
then (-40°C × 9/5) + 32 = -40
wait........
-40ºC = -40ºF
thinks deeper
3 - The Nile River flows from South to North. The Mississippi River flows from North to South. Why?
Yeah yeah, but we're talking about his geographic location.
4 - An aircraft carrying 100 passengers is traveling at 300MPH from Albany, New York to Ontario, Canada when it develops problems at 5,000 feet and crashes right on the national border of the two countries. In which country do you burry the survivors?
This will depend on many factors, such as, for example, the nationality of these passengers
5 - A father and his son are traveling in a car when they crash. The father died in impact. The son is taken by ambulance to the hospital for immediate surgery. When the surgeon comes in to the operating room and sees the paitent the doctor says "The hospital won't let me operate on a family member. Call the other surgeon. This is my son." How?
This is my son
here is the answer, the surgeon is his mother.
Only answering all 6 correctly wins. Answering less than that only shows you are an intelligent loser.
Guess i'm blind, 'cause i don't see the sixth question
@OliveOlivia said in Do you believe in souls?:
Do you think humans have souls? Do you think animals have souls?
Why or why not?
Basically I'm a soul.
If you had a time machine would you visit the past or the future? Why?
First of all, I would not travel in time because it could become problematic from a certain point of view, now, I would not travel to the future because when I have to return from there, that future may not be realized, and I would not travel to the past, because it could become a paradox.

@cjko said in What is your stand about legal euthanasia? :):
While scrolling in a pond of ideas, an article about 12 year old girl from Netherlands caught my attention. Feel sorry for her, eternal rest grant unto her.
Euthanasia, also called mercy killing, act or practice of painlessly putting to death persons suffering from painful and incurable disease or incapacitating physical disorder or allowing them to die by withholding treatment or withdrawing artificial life-support measures. Because there is no specific provision for it in most legal systems, it is usually regarded as either suicide (if performed by the patient himself) or murder (if performed by another).
So, why do you think we have to legalize it or why not? Want to hear your thoughts.
Well, as I see it, euthanasia has its advantages as disadvantages, so depending on the circumstances, the person who wants to be euthanized will be his decision and no one else's.
