Everyone should just be themselves whatever that is or whatever makes them feel comfortable or happy. I think the idea of 'coming out' is one that's rooted in attention seeking rather than pride. Be yourself and fuck what anyone else thinks, teenagers have always tried to be unique or different but in a conformist way depending on what's on trend at the time, in my day it was pretending to be depressed and bisexual, very few of us actually were, some like me still are both haha. Still I don't see much point in making such a big deal out of someone not understanding because half the time that is the exact reaction they are looking for. #offendedforthesakeofbeingoffended

It's modern day ideals based on old world tradition of what a relationship should be that is the trap. I agree with Nick you need time to grow mentally to know what you want, and even once you know that you need to find a person that has the same ideals. Extensive communication is key which is ironically difficult for an online relationship to uphold. Sounds like frustration for the sake of a label

Depends how anxious you are and what it's about. There are lots of mental activities that will help retrain your brain to think differently. As already said meditation is also a great help. If it's an immediate fix you're looking for I'd suggest essential oils, incense, cbd

@erikagautney That's a lot of words just to say you're a cynic. Given shamanic practices and other forms of "magic" have been around for millennia I'm not sure what you're calling baseless. I'm not gonna argue the existence of anything, but it's innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around, so better to have an open mind than a default denial of anything you can't comprehend. Difficult one, I'd say the answer is both, and it sounds like that's been pretty obvious from the get go. From the beginning he has done everything a young person would do with their crush and it sounds like in most cases you reciprocated until you realised and didn't fancy him that way or whatever. I don't think asking if your a virgin is any sort of red flag because if you had a close friendship you would be able to talk about those things, plus if the answer was "no I'm not" he may have found it easier to be up front with you about what he wanted. Of course you didn't want to talk about it and that's totally fine, but like you can tell him it's off the table without blocking him then you would be able to tell whether he was cool or not because if you said not interested he would either continue being a friend and cut back the flirtation or stop talking to you. As it is now you blocked him, unblocked him, led him on subconsciously with your reciprocation of hearts and hugs, and are probably doing the same thing again now. Think properly about what it is you want and tell him and then base your decision about your friendship on what his reaction is. It sounds like you are both young and neither can read each others minds, so talk. The likelihood is neither of you are intending to be manipulative or after just one specific thing but if you communicate better you may find out how those wires became crossed.
