One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to to read and write poetry. I don't know why it's so calming, the way the words roll smoothly on my tongue as I recite them aloud. Or when my steady hand guides the tip of my pen across the paper perfectly sculpting the letters to form words that could bring a man to his knees.
For true power lies with the ability to wield words.

Um, not really that much to say. I'm kinda weird to be honest...

I love poetry and here's why

Poem #13 (a comtemplative series)
Breezes rustle the leaves
Awakening a feeling inside of me
The sunlight revitalizes
Outside I finally feel alive -
RE: I love poetry and here's why
Dear Stranger, yes
I know you are correct
Your wisdom shows how truly deep
You connection and understanding is
With love, with life, with hurt and sorrow
The soul searching you've done to find
Words to ease your frame of mind
And strengthen the ties
That bind
Your spirit to your body
And your thoughts with your fingertips
As they paint a brilliance
Wisping and curling from your pen
The paper stained
And you may lament
That it is over, but fear not the regret
As soon enough, you shall start again.
