Is it better to ask someone out and to maybe get horribly rejected or never ask them in the first place

I don't exactly fall in love easily, but when I do, I fall hard. I never want to make a move and get to nervous to talk to the people I like, so would you take the chance to just ask them out or watch as they move away from you.

Ask. If they reject you horribly, they aren't somebody you want in your life anyway. If they don't want to go out with you but are more positive/adult about it, you've both learned and grown. If you don't ask, you'll deny yourself growth as well as wish you had.

proceed with caution either way but if you really like them, the one that always scares me is ...."you miss 100% of the shots you don't take" , so if you really want her, you cant blame yourself after for it"
