Does anyone know if there's nowhere to buy the soundtrack of an older movie (early 2000's) beyond the options offered by googling.
I would be more than happy to download it to iPad if I knew a secure website.

Try Zedge. I don't know if they have old movie soundtracks.

I usually just download them from youtube, YT auto uploads them in good quality. ytmp3.eu is what i use.
