generally if you start to spend time in busy areas you will have no choice but to gradually start to open up, converse and complete activities with others, i'd advise you to go to malls, parks to start with then group events,
i.e. coach trips, day trips, volunteer work with others ect

@AwkwardStrangerYou answered your own question. The girl is just starting to figure out some social skills. And is trying them out. If you don't know how to deal with that then perhaps you nshould work on some social skills, as well
Imo, too much commitments in life isn't the reason here. What can I say is, marry when you're ready. And when you're ready thats mean you're ready to take all the risks including adding this extra commitments in ur life. Marriage life would be tough but as long as we choose the right partner, I'm sure we can carry this together.
