@saraLost
Heyy how’s it going? I’m new here and I came across your post. I’m here if you just want to talk about it and I know you don’t know me like that but give me a try :)
I don’t even know how this works or if you will be able to get this and reply.
How can you define WEALTH?
-
A lot of scholars and professors have come up with a definition of what they think wealth is, pastors have also defined wealth in their own terms and words so it means you too can define it according to your experience or understanding.
What does wealth mean to you? -
@xoyee Anything which when used, will give me any sort of freedom. For instance, money, will give me the freedom to not look at the price tag of anything. Or special passes, which will give me the freedom to walk in and out of anywhere. Something like that.
-
My health is my wealth. My knowledge is my experience. My understanding is my identity.
Edited fanciful version: My health is my wealth, not bars of gold. My knowledge is my experiences, not read books nor listened lectures. My understanding is my identity, not some reshaped imitations.
-
@xoyee I suppose so. But the word "wealth" is closely associated with prosperity, or abundance. It's kinda difficult to regard any person to have an "abundance" of values. I mean, how will that be measured?
-
@xoyee I have seen a person with a lot of moral values in life who's basically poor in terms of material abundance or money. A closer look reveals that he's inherently lazy even if he has strong moral values otherwise. You cannot say that he's wealthy, can you? I think no one can have too much of "scrupulous attributes" because every human being will have a certain amount of shortcomings.
-
For every person, 'wealth' is something diffirent.
For me honestly now?
Money, would be all which I needed.
I got a daughter, I'm single, I don't need spiritual stuff in my life. And money would be my 'wealth'. With money, you can achevie a lot. You can buy a lot of thing, go diffirent places, travel around the world.
That's my opinion on 'wealth' -
Wealth is subjective satisfaction, therefore it changes for each of us. Money, knowledge, health, love and much more

@xoyee message me please

Contentment
-
@Huh hmmmm, when you say contentment I really don't know what aspect you're coming from. Can you pls explain a little
-
@Ella-26 hmmm that makes sense, however, have you ever thought that value could also be seen as wealth?
-
@xoyee I am not sure what you mean by Value. Do you mean "importance" or like "measurable worth"?
-
@Ella-26 OK what i mean is, " your worth", " your values"...
-
@xoyee feeling content/detached no matter what's happening around you or to you
-
@Huh ok.... So I'm guessing you mean, reaching that level of life where nothing affects you because you got all you ever want or need?
-
@xoyee sort of, but more like realizing you never needed anything
-
@Ella-26 you're smart and right,....so I guess that's the reason why a man with so much values without wealth cannot be called a "prosperous man", but on the other hand one could use his values to create wealth and then become prosperous.
-
@Huh cool
-
@xoyee I agree on the second one. And, I'd also like to emphasize that the concept of "wealth" per my understanding would refer to worldly material possessions.
-
@Ella-26 correct!
