@Lazz nice. I had a accoustic 6 now my electric 7 not that I got skills, my bro had a 5 string bass for a bit which was a bundle of fun. But...
Brass 🥳 double E flat Tuba master race reporting in (4 valve version) 3 valve don't cut it

@INSANE-INSIDE I've now moved up to 7 string and 8 string electrics, and I mainly play 5 string basses, fretted and fretless, but I own a 6 string bass. Just not much point in "extra" strings. In my own opinion.
-
@Lazz I got the 7 to play Korn stuff, ild like an 8 to play mushuggah but I seen in an interview with them they said they play like they do because can't riff an 8 with out sounding muddy. So the 7 are played like a guitar and the 8 string like a bass. Sound about correct?
I know the only benifits to a 7 is it cover 4 full octaves, that's it lol -
@INSANE-INSIDE Bass? I'd think more like a baritone, but yeah, I get the point. Sounds about right. These days with all the alternate and "drop-scale" tunings, you really don't NEED more strings. I'd stay at 7, and then change the string gauge and the tuning, as needed. And we've wandered very very far off topic here, haven't we?

@Lazz yeah bit 4chan there lol
