The same happened with oscar schindler when he started empathising with jews but he still identifiés as nazi. I don't think you see my point. he doesn't treat christianity the same, he's catholic though not interested... maybe that's why he despises jewish people cause he thought different of them
so i think its not about religion, though usually muslims got another belief that sometimes lead to terrorism, i think its kind of the person's principles/beliefs or perception
