Happy 16th birthday to Sam Raimi's Spiderman film!

This is the first movie -- or one of the first movies -- I ever watched. I was merely a baby when it came out, and I watched it countless times on VHS through my childhood.

It's the first time in history Spidey made it to the big screen.....

16 years ago today. May 3rd. So epic, and actually quite emotional.

As both a great superhero movie (that technically gave birth to our era of superhero cinema) and a masterpiece of a film in its own way, 'Spiderman' carries such significance and importance in my life. It's so iconic and has easily become more than just a good movie to me. It's personal. It will forever have a special place in my heart.
