Rainbows are on the horizon

[US poet]

You're feeling down at the moment,
from a situation that's been made,
and you know it's your fault,
but it happens at times.
There's some things you wish you could change,
but the damage is done,
and you just want to move on.
They don't but that's just what they need to get over the situation.
Expressing yourself and how remorseful you are,
is the only way out,
but I know how hard that is.
You'll get better,
you'll learn more,
you'll learn how to deal with the now,
and not let it fester into something bitter.
This is all just a hump you have to get over,
and sometimes it leads to a bumpy ride,
but it's the ride you have no control over,
as you're just a passenger,
and sometimes you have the wheel to steer,
but I understand wanting to let it all go,
and drive itself away,
even crashing,
cause you just can't deal with it at this moment.
But don't worry,
eventually all roads lead to rain clouds,
and after the storm,
there's always a rainbow at the end of your destination,
it's just over the next horizon.
