for a start pretty sure you're not getting an ultrawide for 100 bucks. you cant even get a 144hz monitor for that price.. at least not in the UK. best bet is to get a 75hz monitor. better than 60 at least.

The C Programming Language By Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie is imo still the best book around. It's quite old but one of its authors is the very creator of the language.and the book in general is incredibly well written and has a ton of exercises.
