• @Indrid-Cold I dunno what anyone else has got to say but this show was my jam when I was like 4 or 5, but as I think of it now I guess my feelings for the show has definitely changed..mainly cuz of the predictable and repetitive stuff. I've heard most of the people say that the older version was lit as compared to the new one(I haven't seen the older one tho)

And what of the Scooby Doo films -- Monsters Unleashed, etc. Has anyone seen them? Are they any good?

    They sucked😅!

  • @Anastasia-Smith Mmm. Repeatable / predictable isn't necessarily a bad thing. I still watch the A-Team every teatime on Five Star, and still get over-excited like a kid, which is FAR from ideal when trying to digest potato croquettes.

Thanx for the heads up on the movies, tho. I was about to shell out £0.50 @ CEX.

I woulda agreed with you on this point if I were a kid...ig tastes definitely differ and from what I've seen people don't usually go for the predictable stuff..nevertheless a kid would definitely enjoy this show I'll take that!

    Np.

  • @Indrid-Cold Genuinely unsure. I know I don't like the newer cartoon I've seen, for a few reasons. I didn't like an older series when they started using real monsters, not understanding what the show is about. And I know I found the original cartoon's predictability tiresome even as a child. I think I even managed to lose interest and fall asleep during the Scooby Doo-Batman crossover which I used to have on DVD.

Yet I don't think I've ever minded it, even the films. They're harmless, simple fun. There is nothing great about any of the series, but nothing inherently bad either. That's quite an achievement.

  • @Indrid-Cold
in my neighborhood, here is also a great dane . but rarely bark. maybe he is old, but I like this kind of dogs. never saw Burking on other dogs. my gym owner likes him, so he came into gym that's annoying -_- . but yeah he is opposite of great dane u mentioned😂

  • @Matt_Aranha You've put your finger on. It is a weird achievement to be so ubiquitous, and long-running, and yet it's neither good or bad.

Maybe that's why I'm starting to respect it. And respect is very close to love, in this life.

But I didn't know they were using real monsters now. Aren't humans monstrous enough? Radovan Karadžić, etc.

  • @thot_patrol Sorry for my Great Dane prejudice.

  • @Indrid-Cold nah mostly I hate dogs too . but I was telling a kindest dog I have ever see

I think the latest cartoon incarnation has gone back to it having a natural phenomenon or shifty human behind each mystery, but there was definitely one version where they were fighting/catching real ghosts/ghouls etc.
