I find this zealous dogma very offensive and misplaced on a forum which not only is meant for everyone but also is populated by many people at a low ebb. This stinks, to me, having been through it in childhood courtesy of roman catholics, mormons and jehovah's witnesses, of the usual grooming and taking advantage of the vulnerable. If you feel you have dine such bad things you deserve to be punished, crucified, whatever, then fuck off and do it in private and ket the rest of us live our lives free from your guilt trips, indoctrination and exploitation. And before you wring your hands about how offensive i have been, remember that you are that offensive to me and it was you that brought it here
Does the thought that we are insignificant in this big universe scare you or make you feel at ease?
-
Personally it makes me feel at ease. I don't need to change the world or make a big impact on it before I die. It reminds me that I should just focus on what I like and enjoy my life.
-
@kafuuchino Nope not me ... The fact that we are teeny tiny spec's when you look at the universe as a whole... To be bother by it would lead to some serious fried noodles in the humano-central-cpu of the brain...
/wouldn't reall say I feel at ease about it either....
as they say... It is what it is :) -
Peeeersonally I don't think anyone is insignificant, so I guess that kinda ruins the question. But if we were, then yeah, I'd be relieved.
-
@kafuuchino haha, universe doesn't give a fuck. Be like universe
-
@justchatamy I agree with you! I didn't mean to ask the significance of someone as a person. I was thinking as in if the earth would pop out of existence, the universe would not care much. This thought could seem daunting or relieving.
-
@kafuuchino Ok I see what you mean haha
Yeah honestly it's neither to me?
Although maybe losing the gravity of earth would upset the solar system and who knows what would happen then :o -
@justchatamy haha , what a rush that would be :O
