@Indrid-Cold @Karina-Kara my favorite thing about this post is how we all have different views and still managed to talk between us, without imposing and/or offending. <3 <3

@Stricty Was the question offensive?

RE: On the subject of writing letters
@Buryce So your answer would be yes?
You would write to someone whos spending life in prison.
(Netflix has the new show on Ted Bundy, not planning on watching that ever, either) -
RE: On the subject of writing letters
@Buryce Right? There lies the thing. Some might be really interesting people to write to, from a cultural point of view. But how much of that is using them, and how will that also impact you as a person?
As a writer, its almost impossible not to want to take a ride through their brain, but some things id rather not know. No Manson, no heavy crimes for me. -
On the subject of writing letters
Every now and again, i look up penpals (snail mail) and adopt a couple to write for as long as possible.
This last week, i stumbled upon "Prison PenPals".
Now the whole idea is not new, and im just gonna be my usual Miss Judgmental self and flat out refuse to write to anyone who is in prison.
I attract enough psychos who are currently free you know? (let me judge)
But i actually had a look at one particular website, because curiosity got the best of me, in one subject:
"Are all prisoners allowed penpals? What sort of crimes have they committed?" (maybe its the writer in me and not the judge)
I was in deed surprised to see a 23 year old with a life sentence, and a much older prisoner who was doing time for house invasion.
Now, this turned into a whole new question, and here i am, wondering who would write to a prisoner, and why.
Would you write to anyone, or would you refuse some?In the almost lost art of snail mail, it would seem that the people who write letters the most are the same people most of us wouldnt want to write to.
Discuss, if you will.

RE: What is the last book you read and enjoyed?
@Karina-Kara I have always disliked people with blue eyes. As if i couldnt trust them or something so i never dated any blue eyed boy/man. Friends? Sure. Partners? No way. After that event it became slightly more obvious that i had in fact avoided such people and it was like a piece of the puzzle found its place. Suddenly i felt i had been avoiding these people out of some unknown fear. Then the dreams came, and the stories flowed through my fingers. There are sooooo many snipets from things i love now that would belong in those time frames, it was too cool not to surrender to evidences. Its fantastic to decode the little patterns, thats true, exactly like a little Matrix. But at the same time, scary, you know? Its like wanting to see the ghost but when you do you scream "GO AWAAAAAY!"

RE: A letter to god
@Indrid-Cold I dont think its crazy, or jealousy to be honest.
Isnt it like a sort of craving?
Like theyre eating amazing food and you just wanna have a bite?
You know, just to see what it tastes like.We could swap "war" stories, im sure you be surprised by the notion that i do believe in God.
My brother used to ask me a similar question "How can you believe in a God that allowed so many bad things to happen to you?!"God didnt do those things.
People did.
However, i was always picked up.It was easier to explain when he had a son.
"Say you're at the park with G (his kid), and he's jumping like crazy and youre next to him, hes having fun and in a second, he bumps into another kid, trips and hurts his knee. Now, you were RIGHT THERE. How could you NOT protect him?
Or was it just a chain of events?
What would you do after he tripped and hurt himself?'I would pick him up.'
There's your answer.
God picked me up."The things that went wrong were necessary, in a weird way, i know, to put you where you are now. And to burst your bubble, its probably NOT about you anyway, but the people you will/can impact in your life.
Theres a funny bit about how Jesus understands suffering because he suffered the same pain himself.... Would that somehow change a certain part of your story?
If you met someone, and for the insane fact that you had gone through the same pain, you were able to help this person? :smirk: -
RE: A letter to god
@reviewer_1 Such a sweet letter.
You are ready.
(S)He is listening. ;)A child would know their mother in the dark, because they trust the presence more than the visual aspect, which is how most people measure God.
Do you need to see the wind to know its there?
You feel God.
You dont see God. You dont ask for permission to get in, you are entitled to this love.Exactly what do you feel you need?
A visual proof that God exists?

RE: What is the last book you read and enjoyed?
@cjko Hit by a Farm is about a lesbian couple who, well, get a farm and it begins with chapter 1 "touching testicles"
"Farms have fences. People have boundaries.
Mine began crumbling the day i knelt behind a male sheep, reached between his legs and squeezed his testicles."Its an hilarious adventure in farming.
As for The Love Song, i havent started it but this quote made me buy it:
“Besides, I was thrown by your eyes. The blue of them was so generous, I couldn’t quite think of anything else.”
Of course, by itself this quote is not that special, if not for the fact that i had done a past life regression session and found i had been killed by someone with blue eyes, and the next month i wrote several pieces about two people who had found each other twice in the past (first time she died in his arms, second time she was a nurse in the war and he died on her table) and felt very connected to their (mine?) story. So this quote, and then reading what the book was about, gave me goosebumps and i had to get the book.

RE: Have it ever crossed your mind that TWS.....
@cjko ive bumped into a couple good souls who confided in me some serious issues and our conversation ended with "thank you, this helped me a lot!" <3
Most are perverts i agree, but i guess thats what the safety of a screen does, most of them are probably just as ho**y/pervs in real life but arent brave enough to show it.
We dodge those, and we stick to the cool ones who can actually have proper conversations.
A good thing when you have kids is you can drop that in the conversation and 99% of the times, the perverts will run faster than you finish that sentence. -
RE: drop here your creative side ..art, meme, picture or poem
@IM-NOT-H***Y probably hahah. Or maybe because you write such cool stuff. You know, girls tend to be cooler. ;)
