@girltochat It is really shameful if your parents indeed shout abuse. But after all, they are your mom and dad, and maybe the first step towards normalcy would be to talk the situation on a serious note, with your own parents, instead of just going to your room and locking it from the inside. If you feel like the conversation is not effective in any way howsoever, you might want to consider reporting to an authority, who handles Child Protection and Rights. The final move would be adoption, done through court and legal processes, but this requires consent.
I would highly recommend you to talk about the situation first with your parents, assuming they are sober and mature for conversation, which I feel they must be, being parents :)

RE: Why does there seem to be so much hatred and so much loathing towards Muslims?
@mikeJB Oh, I am sorry to hear that, especially if that is the case in your country. I do assume that your case refers to a more conservative and severe Muslim family. I personally, being a teenager, find it horrifying that people dishonour the religion more by these so called 'punishments'! I have Christian friends, Hindu friends and friends from all walks of race and life, and I love them all!

Have you ever faced stereotyping from your fellow beings? How does it feel?
Being a Muslim and an Indian at the same time, the number of stereotypes and prejudices I have faced could be compiled to form quite a volume!

RE: TO ALL YOU INDIAN/MUSLIM MEN
Hello Mike! It is indeed very pitiful and shameful that some of us Indians have represented ourselves in sour light...I assure you, however, India is a country suffering with a population of 1.2 billion, out of which a couple of thousand people don't, at all, care what becomes of them, and what reputation they might gather in this world. Our country is, quite frankly, filled with all kinds of imaginable horrors, and the policy of child marriage that you mentioned in your post has long since been rescinded and abolished by the Constitution.
It is indeed a matter of great shame and guilt that a majority of us are not acquainted with Western etiquette and manners, but I assure you, that not all of us are worthy of being called abuse! A good number of Indian people on here are unfortunately too perverted and immature in their approach..But it is not the fault of the nation, is it? :)
Not all of us are pedophilic, and worthy of being victims of this dreadful virus!
Good day, to you Mike! I am new here, btw. -
RE: Why does there seem to be so much hatred and so much loathing towards Muslims?
@mikeJB Our religion, in case you are not aware, strives to bring about peace and harmony, and I assure you that it is not just a cliche! The deeds you hear about being done by the so-called Muslims are just horrible, and against humanity; we don't refer to them as Muslim beings, but being more 'jaahils' or, illiterates.

RE: Heyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Kate-Phisch Hi! To be honest with you, as long as I'm healthy, I am grateful and fine! Still, quarantine has played a big role in human socialising, and until we have our own delightful pastimes, I think that we can make through this crisis! :)

At any stage of your life, have you felt so low so as to give up? And have you recovered from the fall?
I have experienced a lot of lows in my life, however tender it may be, and I am proud to say that I battled through them, though with difficulty, and am not only currently the person I used to be, but much better!
I really hate how a lot of people treat those who really need help, and it really doesn't help much when you type in the keywords 'suicide' and 'depressed' and search engines give you a ton of phone numbers that you might be interested in dialling and asking for help..
I feel opening up a dialogue with your closest friends, or even your school counselor could make you feel infinitely better. What about you? What do you think? :) -
Is it happening again? Are the bonds of friendship somehow falling apart?
I don't know what I may have sinned, or done wrong as a guy, but is it just me or is anyone else feeling the same?
