@Indrid-Cold Shouldn’t you be able to talk to people in public as you do online? Maybe it’s time to make some other kinds of real world pals. There are clearly people interested in other topics, I think we just have to find them and not wait for them to come to us

I liked seeing everyone's least and most favorites so I want to do this again

Imagine you go to an appointment for something (let it be for whatever you want) and you go in and they make you wait in a waiting room. There's nothing to do, but sit there. Realistically, what would you do to pass the time?
Most of the answers would probably involve getting on the internet and using your phone. Which is normal, I have friends that use their phone every time they're bored and I have another that will watch youtube any chance they get.
What is up with that?
Today I was on a date, the food didn't sit well with my date, so lets just say after eating they spent a fair amount of time in the restroom. During this long lonely time, I sat there. I looked out the window, I looked at the people, I watched life go on around me. While doing this I saw other people waiting for food and seating. They were all on their phones. I seemed to be the only person who was comfortable enough to be alone, waiting, with nothing but life to entertain me. Yes, I had my wonderful iPhone XR with me, but I didn't get on it once.
I clearly don't understand the purpose of why people feel the need to bust their mobile devices out every time they're "bored".
Can someone explain to me why this happens? What is it that phones provide that make people so addicted? Why do we often see people jump to their phones the moment they're alone or have nothing else to do?

If you could "upgrade" yourself, as in modify yourself to your desire, what would they be? It could be with looks and abilities.

I would give myself the ability to fly, have the eyes of an eagle, and gills so I can breath underwater. Maybe some flawless skin too😂 How and what would you upgrade?

@Indrid-Cold 10 years is a long time. The outside world would probably feel different. I would probably go for a long walk and enjoy nature and open space, if I had money then I'd also get some green and some bomb ass food.

Why do we crave friends and popularity?
Personally, I find being alone very comforting and in fact I probably prefer it most of the time. This will probably sound weird and sad, but when I'm alone it is almost like I am my own friend. I get along with myself really well (I promise I don't have split personalities or something).
Anyways, loneliness doesn't feel lonely to me, it feels peaceful and can be fun. I have never met someone else to share this perspective of loneliness with me, and because I feel this way, I can not understand other peoples needs to have friends and constant company.
What are your views on loneliness? Do you like it? Why do you think people feel the need to have friends and stuff?

@cjko My best friend can do whatever they want, but if they date my ex they wont be my best friend anymore 😂

You wake up one morning and youre in a bus. The bus is full with people that you've never seen before. You look out the window... youre in the sky, the bus is floating, youre in fortnite. What do you do?

@Lurker If you're lonely with your friends then why hang out with them in the first place? Is it a different kind of lonely than from actually being alone? Does this lonely feeling make you still want to have friends?

How would you describe color to a blind person?
Try to describe a color and let me or someone guess what color it is youre describing, but you cant use hints like "the color of grass" or "the color of the sky" they have to strictly be descriptive words

How much control do you think we have over our lives? Do you think where you live, the job you have, and money you make all had to do with the work you put in and how much you persevere? Or do you think there is nothing you can do and that it is all set in stone when you’re born?

@PenitentDuckling keep yourself occupied. It can be hard sometimes because you’re just laying there with nothing else to do but remind yourself you’re trying to stop. The more you do it while you’re trying to stop the less satisfying it will be. Remember that you have other things to do, you don’t want to do it, and it provides little satisfaction. That’s what I would do to stop anyway. I hope this helps!

I know hippies typically have a bad rep and no one really likes them (at least based on what I’ve seen, hippies are nothing more than a meme). However, I got to thinking last night, as I always do, and hippies represent peace, love, and life with no war. So... if everyone were a hippie, they would all support the same values. All people would want peace and love and actively bring that about.
Not saying that everyone can be conformed into hippies... but hypothetically, if we were all hippies, would world peace finally exist?
