Did you guys also loose tons of posts? What else did you lose? I think I also lost some followers...

Honestly. What gets you out of bed?

Or don't you really get out of bed and spend hours dreading what is awaiting you when you get up? Do the things you do give you incentive to get up? Or is it the people you live with? Or maybe the people you live for?

Why I'm active so much these days and have all those C.C.C.CRAZY ideas... I've got too much time on my hand cause I'm stuck in my bed with backpains. It's what happens :joy::joy::joy:

I mean the little, personal things...

Like what they do with their bogeys: Do they throw them on the floor, flush them down the toilet? What disgusts you?

Or wether they shave their pubic hair, or wether they leave their clothes all over the floor, wether they are chaotic or too orderly... Or anything of the sort...

What do you really not like in your partner, or an ex or someone you might date in the future?

Well, I'd want everybody to be really sad. Because that means there was a really deep connection, and my being here made a difference. But I wouldn't want them to be sad forever, because I'm not exactly afraid of dying. Like, when I die it should feel to people as if I was going home to where I belong you know. So in the end there should only be joy... Something like that...

Since we had such lengthy discussions about God, I thought we should go with a topic, that doesn't give us such an easy slip from the hundredth into the thousandth... Of course you @Incredible-Hulk (Vex Man) are free to join this debate or not :joy:

The thesis for the debate is

"No war is ever fought because of a doctrine."

Of course this thesis is quite absolute, and I'm rather sure we will arrive at a conclusion (or different conclusions) that is not exactly equal to this thesis. So at the beginning of this debate, I position myself rather on the side of this thesis, but not 100%.

The logic is as follows: I believe the following are the true reasons for any war

• thirst for power / influence
• resources / riches
• social injustice

Of course on the defensive side, there is always the motivation to defend oneself also.

The rules for this debate:

• Respect :sunglasses:
• Be concise (no super long replies)
• One argument after the other
• At the end of an argument chain (argument + counter + anti-counter...) there does not need to be an agreement, everyone can summarize his position and his reasons. No further debate.
• No declaration of victory on any argument / argument chain / the debate itself. This is not about winning but about letting ideas compete, and see what the arguments for them are.

At the end every debatant has the freedom to formulate his/her conclusion, and how far the other side was able to convince them.

I'm guessing by "true love" you mean the romantic kind. I believe that romantic love is required to not just be platonic. If you guys never met, then you would only love the idea you have in your mind of the other person. And there is soooo much about them, that you'll never know. People underestimate how true and important the saying "smell each other" really is. Also, online, even in video chat, you don't properly get most non-verbal communication.

So, yes, true romantic love can start on the internet, but it can never remain there.

No, I don't think you can fall for a person you know online, you're falling for an incomplete idea. Maybe you can fall for their character, at least the parts you can see online. But it's not complete, it's not real real. We are human. We are not just mind or spirit. In fact our body is what gives meaning to what we do. Don't underestimate that. So I'd "recommend" falling after you've actually met :joy:... I know we can't control this, we'll still fall anyways... But keep in mind that what you have is not complete...

I feel like I have to add something here. Recently I was confronted with the (to me quite strange) experience of a spiritual connection... So... maybe, just maybe... it is possible to recognize a soulmate without having to meet them... to know they are the one / a friend for life...

However I still believe that for real romantic love, after recognizing, has to come meeting in person...

And you might want to brace yourself for a disappointment too, because it remains possible that you were mistaken, even if you felt sooooooo sure. It's never easy with these things, and the worst part is, you can only learn from experience. So, don't get yourself in any kind of dangerous situation just because you think you have a spiritual connection with somebody over the internet. Never turn off your head!

When women don't want to hang out with you, they often invent – or create – some kind of excuse. They don't just tell you they aren't interested.

What I find cruel about this, is that it keeps you wondering wether the excuse is actually valid or wether they just don't want to hang out with you. What dou you boys think? And girls, whats your reason for doing it? Or are you rather the direct type?

7. the modern idea of "having fun", e.g. "cool parties", consuming entertainment and the like. That's just boring. I like meaningful things as in meaningful conversations, being close to the people I love, laughing about life, having kids, these things.
8. Great place to come out of your shell, talk to an incredibly diverse group of people (as in nationality, upbringing, ideas, philosophies, religions, etc.). However get's kinda stressful often for me :shrug:

Merry christmas to all my fellow TWSlers. It has been quite an interesting two weeks and I'm expecting good weeks to follow. Let me hear some stories of the crazy things you have done tonight, when we chat again tomorrow. And don't let it get you down, if things go awry on these days. They tend to do that on christmas eve, but it will still be the time where you get together with those you love – if you can or chat with them if you can't. So don' worry and make the best of everything. And appreciate everyone and everything good that comes your way.

Would you like TWS to be more fun? What do you think could be done to make your experience better? What would you like to see more of?

Would you like to have deeper conversations? Can we even have deeper conversations in this way? What could the rest of us do to make you feel more at home here? What could we do to allow you to share more with us?

Does TWS need more features to connect people better? In what ways does technology help us and in what ways could it be improved?
