@ObscuredUsername I'm sympathizing with anyone who is treated unjustly, regardless of where they were born or what they believe. If the fighting continues there are casualties on both sides. I don't know how to fix this. I'm just trying to understand a little more.

@Rot3m I think it's very difficult to get at any true understanding of what is happening over there from where I am, Australia.

One media outlet spins the story toward favouring one side and another spins it toward the other side. And then there are normal people caught in the middle of the conflict.

It seems as though the Governments of those countries also cannot control the radical elements within their societies that seek to exact their own punishments.

Clearly both sides are angry and the continued fighting just escalates the conflict. A ceasefire of some sort would be beneficial so that level headed talks can take place.

I could be completely wrong but it seems there is little hope of getting anywhere in terms of of a peaceful resolution to the violence until the rogue non-governmental elements are reigned in.

Surprised how long it took me to come up with 5.

As much as we hate some behaviours or attitudes I reckon it makes more sense to focus on people's positive qualities more often than their negative ones.

Not excusing bad behaviour but being optimistic about people's capacity to make good choices.

@Dang-girl I think boredom is sometimes used to describe dissatisfaction. And I suspect being dissatisfied comes from not investing time and effort into something worthwhile.

Entertainment doesn't really give satisfaction but can be a pleasurable thing to unwind after work. If you set a goal and achieve it you get real satisfaction. I often ask myself, if I feel bored, am I really dissatisfied with life because I'm not endeavouring to create something meaningful.

This is not a judgement on anyone, rather it's an acknowledgement that I feel most satisfied when I'm putting my energy into something I can be proud of. Of course I goof off too like everyone else.

@Dang-girl woke up with a migraine but getting better now. Don't feel 100% but I have a positive outlook. As you say, it's ok to not always feel okay.

@Janet I watched the 2nd video. I think she makes some valid points on the 2 qualities observed. But there's more to a person than emotional availability and hotness.
