Yeah see I am quite the opposite. I love music. This morning I woke up in a fun happy great mood and yet I chose to listen to sad songs just for their beauty and meaning. For me, they soothe me so that is my "return in reality". The feeling and power of love and heartbreak is very relatable to me and made me the person I am today... I see the beauty of heartbreak lyrics and devotion/love in lyrics.

The original one is better than the cover but the song itsef is not touching for me .

Yeah not every song resonates with every person. Tracy even admits she didn't really know what she was writing about when she wrote the song. Years later she stated:

"I believe that I wrote the song “Fast Car” in 1986. At the time that I wrote the song, I actually didn’t really know who I was writing about. Looking back at it, and this happens with other songs as well, that I feel like I understand it only later… I think that it was a song about my parents… And about how when they met each other they were very young and they wanted to start a news life together and my mother was anxious to leave home. My parents got married and went out into the world to try to make a place for themselves and it was very difficult going."Source

Whatever the meaning many fans have expressed how the song changed their lives and how they interpret the song.

Ohhh I like this too! its the male version of the original haha.
I should have searched other covers cause, duh, there would be more. This one is great but I really was surprised at how much I liked the country version (since I don't like Country).

Anyone that knows me knows I am not a fan of country music but I recently heard this new cover by Luke Combs of the song "Fast Car" (Originally by Tracy Chapman)

I really love this version and this is one of the rare occasions I like the cover more than the original (even though I still think the original is amazing). What do you think?

@vanteindo I don't think this is considered European (I think its American made) but I just got done watching The Serpent Queen and quite liked it. If you like historical/period series this one was a fun watch. It's about the life of Catherine de' Medici, the 16th century Queen of France.

@MarcAndre I love music to much to have a favorite, it really depends on the genre. Here are a some songs I have enjoyed listening to recently.
