RE: Old habits just stick...
@kaia_ It's not wise, indeed. That's how I ended my long post. It's not safe to start some thing that's called an addiction but if you are, then imagine all of eternity being addicted to it.

RE: Old habits just stick...
@mindigh Well, I did expect that someone would question me about the correlation between intelligence and drug use, and I do agree: it's not something that is completely related. But while I was writing this, Sherlock Holmes and Elliot Alderson(from Mr. Robot) were on my mind. And I read this article that was just on my mind at the time, that said complexes such as the characters I've mentioned aren't really fans of rules and whatnot.
Anyways, I'm glad to get that big a comment, well, for one, 'cause I normally don't and for the other, that, it was nice reading it and getting to know your opinion. -
Old habits just stick...
So, it's been a long time since I've posted my "article-length", well, posts. And, uh, I don't know. It's been a long time since I've even used TWS. I wanted to forget all of it. But here I am, so, indeed, OLD HABITS JUST STICK. I think I use this platform to express my thoughts, which I hope, those who do read, understand and enjoy. And also, one of the appeals is that a lot of people don't read it because they're busy in their own kind of thing.
And again, maybe this is just for someone who's actually interested in knowing how the mind works, if I put it in a poetic way.
So, yeah. Old habits. What about them? Now, I would love it if the people who read would actually comment on it so I know that I'm not the only one. But hey, or not?...
You ever watched House MD? It's like the whole Vicodin thing for House. Or any drug addict's 101. Any smart drug addict(FUN FACT: The most intelligent people resort to heavy usage of recreational drugs or alcohol) would know that, once they start drugs, there's a good chance they'll be hooked to it.
So, why do we do the things we do? Right now, I'm sitting here doing this when I have something way more important to do. I like doing that, but this, this is not so important and I don't enjoy it all that much either. So why do I do it?
I think we all live in the grey of things, right in the middle of yin and yang. As much as we try to be good people, our pasts' haunt us. Cliché, yes, but for a reason. So anyways, why do we do it?
I think, we choose bad choices once in a while either out of complete joblessness or too much pressure. It makes sense both ways, because in the first, you just want to try something new, no matter what the cost and in the second, you're looking for a way to deposit all the stress.
So what I say, is, if you're about to start something that may be called addicting, seriously take thought into it. Ask yourself if you want to be hooked to it for the rest of your life. If you have no problem, then by all means.
Because, actually "being on the wagon" (always makes me laugh - I blame Seinfeld) requires a great deal of dedication. And it's more likely that someone who is more of a procrastinator will achieve recovery way later than a person that sticks to their plans and gives rules and discipline importance.
Anyways, that's what I'm thinking right now. If you do read this, please let me know what you think. And have a great day! -

RE: Hey everyone who is your favorite movie star
I love both Heath Ledger and Christian Bale, which is an irony considering their roles. But that's what movie lovers are supposed to be.

We need to change our mindset!
So, this is a very sensitive topic and needs to be dealt with, very carefully. The fact that males predominantly are in the work place needs to change. Now, I say this with complete equality.
It is a fact through out the world that men get paid better for the same job and also are present in larger numbers than women (again, not all branches of work.) And really, what should we do about it? Now, there are some of us whose parents both have jobs, which is a good thing.
I'd also like to point out that if you're shit rich and you don't need to work, then, by all means, suit yourself. I'd say that they'd have to work too, but that topic's for another day.
Now, the sensitive part comes where women are called to be less powerful or less capable, in other words. And to an extent, we normalize it because of all that we've been through for centuries, that we've gotten used to it. One of my theories as to why women perform lower intellectually (I only speak statistically, because I for one want to be smart and believe that I possess the average person's knowledge) is because of the centuries that they had been deprived of education and freedom. Now, I'm not blaming people in the present for it, but we must do something to stop it.
If you ever read my previous posts, you'd know that I talk with strangers online and well, sort of test them or heck, perform social experiments. Now, most people there are fine. They're nice, they might have different kinds of thoughts inside but don't voice them out in the open because they are taught about the sensitivity of the issue. Now comes the part with the ignorant. The intolerant.
Now as much as I want to be uptight and cynical and all that, I find myself in to romance. So when I am talking to strangers, I tend to tag love and look for a nice guy interested in the same topic too.
But sometimes, in the midst of deep conversations, there are some people who think that it's okay for them to have "their share of fun" (if you know what I mean) but don't like when women have fun. And I for one always thought Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was extremely sexist, but when you take it in this way, it doesn't at all. So, girls just wanna have fun too.
Or when a man is intimated by a women of comparatively more intellect. Why do men have to be the smart ones? Now, obviously you have to keep reminding yourself that I don't speak about everyone. It's just the people who do get intimated that need to be set right.
And the thought doesn't exist just to males. Some females are used to "the men are outside, women for household". Sounds very 20th century, but it is still a thought of women these days. I think that irrespective of your gender - man, woman, gay, bi - you should be able to be independent emotionally and financially to a certain extent. Yes, we are social animals and we tend to socialize and get emotional and what not? But irrespective, that certain extent is what we must work towards.
Anyways, that's that.
I'd love to hear your opinions, so please comment below. -
RE: I think I can say I've traveled?.. Part 1.
@DennisJM I think I enjoyed the Sky Tower the most. The scenery, I guess I've always wanted to live in a city atmosphere, so from up above, the lights looked just beautiful. And the timing, it was right.

I think I can say I've traveled?.. Part 1.
Let's see. The places I've been to: India, Australia, UK, New Zealand, and USA. Well, I'd like to talk about Sydney in particular in this post. Australia's a great country to visit. I've stayed there for about only 2 weeks. I went to Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
So, first, I got off at Sydney. The first day was more of a 'see-the-"elite"-things', classic textbook, tour package kind of way. We went to an aquarium/petting koalas place, where ever that is in the city. It was really pretty. I got to get a ride to see penguins up close and even pet koalas. Lol. I said that before. But later, we went to Madame Tussauds and well, for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a place where there are wax displays of famous people, from historical figures to great actors. So, the ones I remember seeing were Barack Obama, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Ryan Gosling, Angelina Jolie, Justin Beiber, Marilyn Monroe, E.T. (well technically not a person) and I guess a lot of others.
And then, it was almost like 4 in the afternoon, and we were all hungry, so we stopped at this place, somewhere like a grill? Anyways, I remember that it's just a 2-minute walk from Madame Tussauds. Why I remember it so distinctively is because I had the best pizza I've ever tasted there. One was a pumpkin and feta cheese one and the other was a good ol' margarita. But, if you ever do stop by in Sydney, it's right across the Opera House and I guarantee you, there's good pizza.
After that, we went walking around the city, and got into the Sky Tower. It was part of the tour package so got to go to a high altitude and look at the city from above. It was about 6:30 or 7 pm at the time. And it was extremely beautiful. All those lights, they remind you of how life has evolved over time and more than anything, you think like Leonardo DiCaprio...
But yeah, hope you get the idea... And slowly, the sun set and we went to our hotel.I hope the post wasn't too long. In my defense, this was just Day-1. Hope you liked it. Please share your travel experiences too. I'd love for it to hear any.
Hope you have a good day :) .
