@girlTx09 hii
If someone you loved was killed in front of you, but someone created a copy of them that was perfect right down to the atomic level, would they be the same person and would you love them just as much?
-
Found this question while reading an article amd and I found it interesting. So guys, share your thoughts :)
-
So long as you're aware the real person is dead I do not think one could possibly feel the same way he/she felt for that person even if they came back from the dead themselves. Tho about love that's a tricky one definitely a no for the copy tho.
-
you mentioned that the copy was totally identical in looks, but what about his personality? The way he used to talk, his gestures etc. They won't be the same in the copy of the person. So no, I wouldn't be able to love him
-
@mistycloud This.
If the person would be absolutely the same after creation, then I would be able to. -
U can't say exactly the same feeling... But yeah there r no other options so it's better to accept the truth then to cry. So yeah I would try my best to give the same love nd respect I had for that boy or girl to this new creature too 🤗🤗🤗 It's difficult to give the exact same coz though the creature is same at the atomic level even but the sort of understanding we might be having with him or her won't be there.... So we have to make the same understanding once again from the beginning

watch Black Mirror s02e01 , it's discussing this issue

@vrinda They were killed in a road accident. I did not go because I wasnt feeling well. Do what you mentioned in the question and I would personally award you the Nobel Prize. :)

I literally just finnished watching that episode. I was about to say the same thing
-
Totally a different person... May have a perfect same vessel but the soul that inhabits is not.
-
No, I don't think it would be fair on the copy. You should never compare current and past partners
-
would you mind dying if an atomically exact replica of you were to exist in your behalf?, your answer would be No, that person has the same exact look as the one you loved, the same personality, and the same memory, I would say I'd love them as much, if that replica were to be a vessel for my loved one's soul ...
-
@vrinda of course, i would still love that person, you cannot just stop loving someone like that, i would still love the same way and to the same extent, but i wonder does that person love me the same way ???
-
They may be an identical but totally a different person with a different personality. So i don't think i can show my love on him/her. But if in case they are staying near by then I would go meet him/her everyday.
-
@vrinda This is a good question. Well, I think it would hurt, but I would try know this same person again, like some another normal person...
I think it would still be a different person, because as much as his body structure was the same on an atomic level his cognitive burdens would be new, the memory of that person would perhaps be kind of erased. -
No,I would be Damaged Beyond Repair.
-
@darkangel Because you love yourself? And a copy of yourself isn't the same?
-
IMO if we see this by Logic the copy is that same and you will love it like previous person
but if you see this by heart you can’t love the new copy like originall personif i see this occur i’ll follow the heart i want the originall not copy even they be similar

@mistycloud hi sweet

Well u are aware that the real prsn is gone.
And this identical twin will just fill ur desire to get that prson back.
I dnt think u can love it in the same way.
(Did u watch Ra-one recently😜) -
Yes, ofcourse. Are you looking to discuss soul/non soul, with believers and non believers? Or just between different religious factions?
You will find that it is the same person always. According to most non believers.
