WHAT DO YOU COLLECT AS A HOBBY?
-
@Lake-Bodom yeah, but it is weird Lake, mahogony is no longer used, but another type of mahogony from africa and asia.. the best of my fav guitar is, a jimi hendrix limited reproduction from fender, (waited 2 years for that to be made.. waiting list but finally got it) and steve vai evo arylic see through guitar IBANEZ, (waited 1 year for that one) and I don't use them on stage.. don't want dings.
-
@AXES thos 70's 80's les paul are definitely made from mahogany they are heavy as heck
-
@AXES all steve vai axes are super catchy and play like butter
-
@Lake-Bodom yeah .. see you get that.. I noticed that too.. way way too heavy.. like the one joe perry uses.. but the new les paul, like almost half the weight. Sustain is still there, but, weight is not there.. they say it is the bridge work that is modded that makes the sustain strong, but the wood is the NEW mahogony that is from africa or asia.. I can't tell the difference, except for the weight. When I made my own double neck, I had to special order mahogony from South American Mahogany. That is where the old mahogony came from.. african and asian mahogany is considered new, but most do not like it.

@AXES i personally prefer medium weight not too light and not too heavy and i won't have an issue with that singe my fav axes are stuff like xiphos and falchion by ibanzes or warrior and king v by jackson ,they all come in perfect wight for me
-
I loveee all of them except maybe one!

@sup hahaha.. let me guess.. the SG double or the Bich Double? hahahaha

The creamy Bich Double was the best one. I dont like the fat blue one with wings on it.
