@sarablueyoung26 hmu if you wanna talk about it
I keep falling in love with my friends. Is that normal?
-
I feel like every time I make a female friend, I just instantly fall in love. I'm 18 and a lesbian. I don't fall in love with strangers easily, but the moment I start to get to know them better, BOOM, attraction. Is there any reasonable way to explain this, or am I just a weirdo?
-
@AwkwardStranger totally not, happens to me all the time lol. I can either choose to make it weird or just be up front about it and see what happens but thats just me!
-
This is really similar to how things are for me. I have something called borderline personality disorder which makes all my friendships/relationships really intense, but it’s all or nothing with me. Depending on if you tick other boxes it could be related or maybe you’re just a romantic :)

@AwkwardStranger
oof, sounds familiar, had that same issue in my teens. i think that if you're not in a relationship but your mind is set on finding one, your brain starts to interpret "being friendly" as "being interested in romance". it's like a thing that usually happens with socially awkward people and/or shy people, you know? someone shows you attention & care and you immediately crush on them in return -
I think its very normal cause your friends are people that know you well. Which in turn makes you fall for them because it seems as if they know everything about you and that gives you some sort of attraction
-
Demisexual. Normal, had that problem.
-
of course yes
-
@AwkwardStranger well have you been attracted to a guy before? If yes, then probably you're bisexual.. If no, then you might be lesbian... Or if you never been attracted to any gender before, you might be in between a lesbian and asexual
-
@AwkwardStranger you see.. When people discuss about sexuality, it's a very mysterious topic to argue and also logical at the same time, that's why as time goes on, people keep asking about their sexuality over time.
