@alwaysstranger maybe they dont want anyone to leave their religion becouse they fear that no one would believe in it and that they would stay lonely . Maybe they are afraid their kids wont go that way . So they want to kill the non believers as an example so that no one will try leaving . It's just not right . Everyone has the right to believe in which he choses :D

Yeah i know that people who leave the religion won't get the death penalty but 88% of Muslims in Egypt still support giving the death penalty to apostates
