• @INSANE-INSIDE Kiss has always been more about money and sales than music. IMO. They thought going rock/disco would keep those dollars coming in. Ugghhh That was bad. And Sure Know Something, also from that Dynasy album. At least Ace got to rock out 2000 Man

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Dude, don't remind me. I HAD Village People records, back in the day. Oh the shame

  • @Lazz how the fuck did ppl not figure instantly they were gay?!? Then again the 80s men with perms and women with shoulder pads, fucking funny as now

  • @INSANE-INSIDE I got the gay deal. Painful to admit I thought a couple of the songs were catchy. Earworms, back then

  • @Lazz Still gets the ppl on the floor now, gotta admit as a kid it was catchy stuff, but I remember asking a mate about the gay thing, he just said was better than his fading lime green flairs so I laughed and forgot to pester him more about it, we were actually discussing George Michael and culture club, so obvious now

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Back then the lines all kind of blurred. Guys with really long hair. Gay or not? The GLAM bands with all the sparkle suits. I think in those days we didn't think about the gay aspect, just the differences, and extreme boundary pushing styles. In some cases gay went along on that ride, but not always. David Bowie and Mick Jagger covering Dancin' In The Street, which was horrible, as example, and they took it a step further and made a VIDEO. Voted one of the worst videos ever. That was in the '80s though.

  • @Lazz said in Didn't see one so, worst song EVER:

My ex being a Goth was a huge Bowie fan so his cd got a far playing, Manson's mechanical animals is heavily influenced by it. Yes that vid/song is just .... Bad lol

Hey I still got the hair lol, 39th b/day yesterday and my dreads are nearing my waist now, if it wasn't knotted up it would be long, but no man bun, that crosses a line lol

In ways the 70/80s was more accepting of pushing the limits than now, it's a bit too PC to do much and it's impossible to shock ppl anymore, but what a ride lmao

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Happy Belated! I guess it'd be fair to say that in every music "era" there were a lot of horrible songs. Even some that became quite popular, regardless. With some it's probably still too early to tell if they'l stand the test of time, but The Beatles Abbey Road (though remixed) just topped the album chart AGAIN at #1 after nearly 50 years, so the cream does rise to the top

  • @Lazz Haha I hate 99% of the beetles (yes I know,,,,, no I dont care) lmao, but it's cool they have, did they finally go digital? Like the whole discography? I remember ages ago hearing they were holding out adding it to itunes.

Somehow I doubt single ladies will superseed Hey Jude in another 150 years or what ever the hell is massive this decade (I got nothing coming to mind) will surpass stairway to heaven (played to death) but I'm probably wrong

Recently some guy told me he never heard Smell's like teen spirit so the 90s are already dead n gone lol

And thanks for the belated, I don't do stuff for it, not my thing, family goes batshit insane for Xmas even though we aint religious for some reason so that's our thing

  • @INSANE-INSIDE I think The Beatles are now on digital platforms, but I could be mistaken. The 50th anniversary editions of Sgt Pepper, White Album (The Beatles), and now Abbey Road have been remixed by none other than Giles (son of producer George) Martin and they DO sound really good.
The music of today is like chewing gum. It looses flavor quickly, and is then disposed of. And yeah, Zep was awesome, still are

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Hard to forget this gem

  • @INSANE-INSIDE OOH! Or this one. Yikes!!

  • @INSANE-INSIDE A few (ok, more than a few) more choice honorable mentions:

  • @INSANE-INSIDE In case any/all of those aren't bad enough...

  • ♡ soul searchers ♡ Music Lovers

Haha some true crap there @Lazz
Didn't mind the venga boys though (shoot me please lmao) aqua wasn't all bad, ild brush hair and touch her everywhere (yeah I need a woman STAT!)

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Come on, Barbie, let's go party. Ah-ah-ah-yeah LOL

  • @INSANE-INSIDE Round Two

Damn, I could do this all day

  • @Lazz
omfg how dare you include "what is love" in your list of bad songs??!!!! it's like the lamest-but-also-the-coolest one hit wonder ever :D:D

  • @sarah_the_magpie Well, gee. It fit the criteria well, I thought. Quoting: "You know that damn song, everyone except you in the world fucking loves? Yeah that one."

  • @Lazz Hey jump by criss cross kicked back in the day, I never got the backward pants thing though but it was the 80s the era of happy pants and hyper colour t-shirts (which were pretty cool I must say) and my reboock pumps, damn bra I was styling back then.....

Then the 90s........ everything 25 sizes too big lmao
Back to the fun, god my ears so far, I've listened to every track again fresh in this thread just cause fuck me... That's why

    Anything by backstreet boys/NSYNC/e17
    And I fucking hate

    @sarah_the_magpie your ears too lmao
