I watched, and I liked ambience very much. But as far as I know there are number of facts which are not corresponding to the real events. And last few series seemed to me a little boring. But it's a good show. Although, I still don't understand why is rating so high.
The thing surprised me the most - people are shown like human beings, I was expecting that in American/British TV Show USSR residents would be like pure evil. Lots of American movies demonstrate aggresiveness and cruelty of Russians. I watched them a lot, and they finally convince me that I AM evil. I was so quiet and harmless person and now I am a Red Threat. Hollywood made me suchlike, sorry. -

Yes its true that a number of facts in the show doesn't correspond to the reality however the flaws makes it even more catchy! As for the high ratings well that's solely dedicated to how they mastered the display of suffering

That kinda surprised me as well tbt, but since they had to show the residents as the sufferers that explains a lot! Well not ALL Russians are so, don't let the movies or shows influence you mate!

I wonder how many percents ARE so, in your opinion. I guess almost all. I know that we have some confrontations since Crimean War (1853-1856), The Trooper is one of my favorite songs, but GB pursued a colonial policy during centuries.
There is no mean nations, people are mean by their nature. And weak contries do not annex territories and resources of the strong ones not because they are good contries, but because they just can't.
