Personally if I would have practiced "safe" sex, I never would have had any problems. However sexting itself it's perfectly safe and fine. You need to be sure that who you are sexting with is on the same page as you are.

Here's some information though..... Only those that you love can truly hurt you like that. The betrayal of the trust is part of what hurts also because you trust them not to hurt you.
In one of the cases that I was hurt I took away the girls power to hurt me. I no longer care about her. Doesn't matter what she does she can never hurt me again.
