I am currently writing a blog as part of my assignment for a supplementary paper I am doing (Electronic Literature). We have no test but instead, we are graded for our blogs and other assignments...

I don't know how you did it but here's how I did it,

suppose the unknown number be z and the tenth place value be x and the oneth place value be y

Hence, 10x + y = z

it is given that 10y + x = z - 27

if we subtract these two, the answer would be, 9x - 9y = 27
which is 9(x - y) = 27 => x - y = 3
x = y + 3

given that x + y = 7

substituting x, y + y + 3 = 7
2y + 3 = 7
2y = 4
y = 2

Hence, x = 2 + 3, X = 5

Hence z = 52

@solosapien it's good that you took a break. If you don't know what to do, use that break to think about what you want to do. There is no fault with taking a break. For example, in my college, my English professor quit from his engineering degree in his third year and join a arts college to get a major in English after a 1-2 year break and now, he is quite happy with life. It would be more helpful if you learned a skill during that break...
