@TheGoldenMole When I was 6, I had a real nasty cold and knew my mom would force me to drink cough syrup before bed. So before she came upstairs, I dumped an entire bottle of it into my toy box. When she asked where it went, I claimed my 4-year-old brother drank it all. When he denied it, they didn't believe him. He then spent the entire night at the hospital drinking liquid charcoal and having his stomach pumped.

All of the negative forms of emotions are a mojor driving force for a person... ;p
During Shakespeare's time as well this particular emotion was emphasized upon stating how it can bring you untold power... Power more than what things like Love and Passion can bring you...
Greed, jelousy, hatred,envy etc are negative but very effective motivators... Cause they have an undying effect upon you unless you try and work your way out of these emotions which is rather very difficult...
People easily run out of love, perseverance, friendship and other such good emotions even without making an effort... If you want such good emotions to motivate you then you have to make twice the effort...
First these emotions die very fast if not taken care of, secondly at the same time you have to work towards your goal... So you land up doing double work...
Whereas when you hate some one, when you are jealous or greedy these emotions will not leave you till the end...
They will remain with you and keep motivating you and pushing you harder & harder till the time you have achieved your goal...
Envy might get over once you have destroyed the person you envy, jealousy may die if the person you are jealous of has lost that thing or person you are jealous of....
But Your Greed will with you as long as you live and will be your motivator...
Yago ( i hope the spelling is correct) was the anti- hero ( villain in India) of Shakespeare's plays... He was so motivated by his greed that he was the first Anti-hero to defeat the good guys ( even the hero) win over the girl, capture the kingdom and get all the money and live happily ever after...
Cause he believed in his Greed Truly and surrendered to it to Motivate him...

To be loved, strengthens you, motivates you, fills you in and out, make you feel on clouds, you feel supported, there's always someone who is ready to do anything even when you barely just want them to sit and hear.

To love, makes you greedy...no matter how much you love the other you'll never feel satisfied and Amway feel to live even more, you get protective to that person, you'll be always in that urge to be there for them before anyone,when they need. They'll always be your top most priority no matter how busy or tiring was your schedule. They are always running in that background process of your mind, when you are busy. What ever it is, it'll be first about them that you think. You'll not even realize that from how long your mind was thinking of them and since when.

To love, is to make sure that they are fine and assure yourself that they are sleeping well at night. To be loved, is feeling cared and assuring that the other sleeps peacefully after that one 'good night love you and take care' kinda text.

Actually both are equally important, but To love is more important, because it has the capacity to keep the one (to be loved) more happy. And what else brings more happiness in the world else than seeing your loved one happy.
