Just imagine a guy could be shy and waves at you, To you he is just saying hi. To him he could be saying I want to get to know you..... If he never says anything how will you know....

Actually, @Rissa_TheBest it can happen in any relationship. Age is not a factor when it comes to matters of the heart and misunderstandings.

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
Let me give you an example. There was a young lady who was in my opinion a good friend to me. I for so long thought that the other guy she hung around was her boyfriend. Later own she said she was irritated with me, because I was blind to see she really was into me. She told me the guy was her cousin. I totally got the signs crossed. That why its important that people communicate their intentions.

@Rissa_TheBest you also must be cautious to consider what is truly being felt on both sides. Is it love, curiosity, infatuation, lust, interest, liking, or just companionship

@Sarah-A-R Is it that easy to stop texting right away. Is it possible you at least want to remain friends?

Remember love takes both sides to develop. Otherwise its just a difficult situation. Communication is key. Mutual understanding is required.

That again feeds right back into what we were talking about friendship. You see we all develop differently base on many factors. Region we are from, people we engage with, what we see on TV, family, religion, situations that involve us or we encounter as well as maturity level.

@Rissa_TheBest I would also say that norms have changed because 100 years ago people would not question it. Consider this many your women starting at age 14 were married to much older men. Society changes as time goes on. the real question though is would it be real love?

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
Well to be honest, it would be inappropriate. If you have someone under 18 they have not really experienced life. The real question is what would you expect from them. Yet, history has shown where arranged marriages have happened and many times it was adult men with girls as young as 14. Not sure how I would respond to that.

Now this is a truth in factor... and yet, that only meets the standards of society. Relationships have no boundaries. accept well if an adult dates a kid. Now that is sick. I figure though that after you are 19 and over you get to make your own choices and society has no say so. So if I were to see a 19 year old with a 50 year old. I figure that is their business.

So here is a start... does age have a bearing on friendship?

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
Well, the question is will it end or will it evolve... Many people can't evolve with a conversation because they are one dimensional.... But you are authentic and well rounded. I believe we could travel the waves of intuitive conversation on many levels.

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
The question is, do you want it to end. I have not made friends in a while, but I would be open to your friendship.

What do you mean @Rissa_TheBest . What will last forever?

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
Well, that is the beauty of humanity. You are able to change your mind. Think about it @Rissa_TheBest have you changed how you felt about somethings from a year ago. If so, you disagreed with yourself. Life changes and as it changes as people we should be able to make our decisions on where we stand with it. With that many times we lose friends. But if they were friends they should at least explain what changed their mind about the friendship

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
That is exactly what I am saying @Rissa_TheBest. I don't think anyone can agree with you 100% of the time. Not family, not people you are in relationship with. Heck sometimes you don't even agree with self. lol

RE: We used to talk all the time but now look at us...
Honestly though I have not been making friends. People are complicated. I mean they are fickle. These days everyone wants you to agree with them 100%. I am my own person so I don't always agree with everyone. Friendship should be about acceptance of differences not over powering thought.

I tell you to be honest it feels like rejection at its worst. Strange though if a person was a friend to me why would they not want to speak to me, unless they were never really my friend
